Exclamation Cold Air intake ???

Whatsup Fellas ,

Want to know whats the best SMOG LEGAL(lame California) cold air intake system to buy for the 2004 5.7 Hemi ??

Aslo off topick if i take off the 20" stock and put the 17" stock will i get better MPG ?? let me know guys !!

I would suspect any of the "name brands" will be acceptable to the air *****. I bet even a home made system would pass.

The smaller wheels will weigh less, reducing your unsprung weight. Actual results may vary. Might take a while to break even unless you already have wheels and/or tires.

If you're expecting dramatic results, forget it.

A K&N drop-in filter in the stock airbox is the best way to go. If you are looking for performance gains, don't waste your money. The stock set-up is quite efficient and you will gain about 4 to 8 hp at most from a CAI.
Save your money for a tuner like a Superchips 3865 for the 04. You can get these for about the same price as a K&N CAI.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, in CA. all aftermarket components that deal in any way with emissions are required to carry the CARB designation with the certification number plainly printed on the packaging.

Look for the CARB stamp and you're golden...

Man...Somehow I'm reminded on a weekly basis why I'm not out there...

It plugs into the diagnostics port under the dash by your left knee. It is self explanatory as it walks you thru the steps to program the computer. When done, you unplug it and put it up.

oh ok so what are those little chips that plug in ?? and have little **** on them ??
