Default Body Lifts

Hello everyone, I have a few questions about body lifts. Right now im sitting with a 6" suspension lift with 20" rims and 35" tires. I want to clear 39" tires, so i would need 3 more inches on my lift. How noticeable is a 3" body lift and how much does that usually cost?

Thanks guys!

First of all do you have a 2500? I'd strongly advise against tires that big on a 1500...
Performance accessories sells the best kits out there but not quite the cheapest. Make sure you have gap guards also unless you want to see straight through the truck. Last time I checked their kits are around $350

3" of body lift is pretty noticeable and pretty economical (under $400 - unless you have to pay for labor) BUT, you bought the wrong truck if you want that kinda height and that size tires. Those spindly CVs ain't gonna take it, maybe if all you plan to do is mall crawl or cruise the junior high's to impress girlies, but for any real use, that IFS front end ain't gonna handle it.

Trade the truck on a SFA 2500/3500 or look at a Solid Front Axle swap (LOTS of fabrication needed) for your ride if you want to run that kinda height with that size tire...

Depends on the miles but for one with less than 100K the lowest I've seen is about 22K. Add in 4x4 and make it about 24K. Thats just what I've seen.

I'm not saying you CAN'T run tires that big, guys do it. I'm just telling you the problems you ARE going to have. If you can do your own work, know how to swap a snapped CV joint in the field (side of road) and don't mind replacing ball joints, tie rods and especially the pretty weak rack & pinion then you can probably get away with it for awhile.

But a SFA (solid front axle) truck will handle that kinda lift and that size tire infinitely better.

Guy in my hunting club had a shop tell him "no problem" doing 37s on his Z71. They didn't give a sh*t, just wanted the money for the lift and labor. I pulled him out the woods hunting with this only 3100 miles after he put 37s on:
