I am running 20x9.5 VTEC Raptors on 285/65/20 (35x12) Trail Grapplers with no control arm rubbing. Do not remember the offset though.

Yeah I want as large of a contact patch as I could get for my heavy as truck to stay on top of the snow so I was set on nothing bigger then a 17" wheel. Plus on the rutted up and potholled out dirt roads I can probably travel at twice the speed with about half the beating you will take.

you sure you want a wider tire for the snow? My 305s on 20" wheels slide bad in the snow. I always thought a narrower tire was best. You'll put the most weight per square inch to the ground to cut through the snow and get to pavement.

We very rarely get any snow on the roads up here in the North West but we get tons in the mountains. Its probably the most fun I have 4 wheeling. With my 33's I could air down and get a few extra inches but with these I bet I will have like a 14-16 inch print to keep me up on top. The key to the snow and trails up here is to stay on top and not spin yourself a hole. Sometimes we are on top of feet of harder packed snow, it tends to thaw during the day and freeze at night so it makes layers on top of layers and just builds deeper and deeper all winter long.

I don't really care about the airing down or ride on the rutted roads. Mine rarely goes up anything like that anymore. Been there done that in much more capable vehicles. The 1500 IFS was not meant to be beat up.
