looking at a 2008
Thanks guys , I found a 05 waiting for the dealer to post it , it has 65k on it for 16,500. Quad cab hemi . Same color as my 2nd gen . I may get a 3 rd gen and sell my ram and use that to by gears and hopefully be happy with the truck
That's a bit high IMO. Local dealer had one on the lot was an '05 QCSB 4x4 Hemi with 71k miles on it they had an asking price of $13,995 on. Looked to be in about mint condition, but I didn't see the interior. It's gone now but figured if that was asking price someone coulda' prolly picked it up for around $11,500.
Hell, I only have 51k on my '04 and have WELL over $12,000 in mods on it and last I shopped it for a new truck I could only get $14,000 for it in trade - and that was ONLY if I agreed to let the winch go with it...

Yea unfortunately no matter what is done to a vehicle it usually comes down to year, mileage and the interior. And of course its make and model and with the economy still down and trucks being "gas guzzlers" they go for cheap in order to get them off the lot
Unfortunately, a new vehicle depreciates the moment you sign the paper at the dealership; even if you never put a mile on it. This is precisely why I will never buy new. It makes no sense to instantly be upside down on a big ticket item when you can buy the same vehicle with several thousand miles on it, put several thousand miles on it, and still get back what you bought it for when you sell it.
I just bought an '07 QCSB 4x4 with 45K for $18k two weeks ago. I found some '09's for a couple grand more, but in my opinion between 08 and '09 Dodge went from having the best looking truck on the road to the worst. I can't stand the new front end. Not to mention, how do you know the '09 and newer are 4x4's? they don't sit any higher than a 2wd. It comes down to your personal preference and what's in the budget, just my $.02
