Default looking at a 2008

I'M looking at ram wondering if I will be happy with it ,really wanted a 4 th gen ram because the hemi has more power . This truck does have 3.91 gearing . Low miles and the guy at the vw dealer he works as the service department traded it in for passat. Because he loved to far away for the truck so he needed a gas saver . Do you think 23k is a good price I wanna know what you guys think I can get for it . I currently have a 2nd gen with a 5.9 single cab . And I want more power and room . http://www.billcovw.com/VehicleDetails/used-2008-Dodge-Ram_1500-4WD_Quad_Cab_6.3_Ft_Box_SLT-Wexford-PA/1455655613

To put it in perspective, my cousin in upstate NY bought a new '08 when the '09s (4th Gens) started hitting the lots in the fall of '08 for just a shade over $24,000. 4x4 QC Hemi with the ThunderRoad package.

That said, I'm not seeing any of used '08s for under $20k around here and they have a bit more miles on them. I think if you can get it for down around $20k you've got a pretty darn good deal...

Far too expensive. There is a loaded 2010 Ram QC 4x4 Hemi with 25k miles here in Oregon for $25k, though I'm sure you could talk him down a bit. Depending on where you are it will cost you $1000 or so to ship and you'd still be better off. I say broaden your search and buy exactly what you want. If you settle, you will regret it. Plus, you'll be upside down in that 08 Ram the second you sign the contract.

Here is the 2010 Ram I am referring to: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/2776984673.html

I Like the color of the red one, but considering this one is a crew cab, that's a pretty damn good price.
