Default dumb insurance.

My insurance company will not insure my truck for full coverage.

I have dual ex - I have a higher performing truck than what dodge factery built, but its ok to insure for plpd.

When I went with this insurance company, I only had plpd.

To insure my truck for plpd + my 2011 elantra, full coverage is 1500.00 a year, so I can't afford to get spite ful.

- I have group insurance threw my employer so I do save a lot of money.

-If I want full coverage truck has to be returned to stock, ie one mufler.

Dumbest news to date, so trend lighly with your lift kits and mods.

Personal group in canada is my insurance company.

Hail claim, fire and theft claims could be denied because I have two mufflers.

So dual exhausts increase the hail risk? We have full coverage on five vehicles for ~$2800/yr. The liability coverage is 300/500

I forgot to say: There is no such thing as "dumb" insurance. I'm confronted with dumb every day - I just have to deal with it.

Well, I have to say, you're insurance company is pooling the wool over your eyes. I would shop around, too. That price is anything to get excited about. I have full coverage on both my truck and an 2004 freestar for about 1800 a year. The muffler thing? Yeah that's dumb.

Glad I'm in the good ol' US of A, even with idiots in D.C.

Sounds like a bunch of non-sense to me. My insurance co insures both my vehicles for full coverage. They never asked about squat and they could care less if its jacked up or had dual exhaust. If anything they wouldnt pay for damage to after market equipment, but they'd never deny a hail claim based on the fact I had dual exhausts.

I don't see where $1500 is good for an econobox and liability only on your truck. I pay right at $1100 a year for full coverage on my truck & Grand Cherokee. $500 deductable...
