Default El Cheapo step bars

Has anyone purchased some of these El Cheapo step bars from ebay? Thinking about rolling the dice on these since they are $150 shipped to the door, about half the price of Westins.

Dont know if what i have are same as what you are looking at and i think i paid a little more but mine did come from ebay and they were under $200 shipped. Have had them for years and the quality is fine, IMO, and the fitment on the install was no problem. They just dont have a brand name stamped in the step pads.

That looks like what I have, and they've been fine for the past 5 years.

I helped a buddy of mine install a set like that on his truck about a year ago and they are pretty solid and they still look great today. Pretty easy install too.

I've purchased four sets of nerfs in my life, two no-names and two Westins. Both no-names had issues. The black set started rusting by the second year (in Georgia, a no salt state no less) and lost a step pad going down the interstate before year three. The chrome set was pitting before the year was up and rust soon started.

Neither set of Westins have EVER had an issue. Current set is Westin stainless and if I hit 'em with a little Flitz they still look like the day I put them on after almost seven years.

Usually, you get what you pay for...

I got turned on to the stuff at Bike Week a few years ago and I'm sold on it. Good for any metal that is NOT clear coated. It will also not only take the oxidation right off of aluminum, but will do so with plastic (like headlights) as well...
