Default Coil Pack rubber boots?

Does anybody know of a place where I can get just the coil pack rubber boots? I am gonna change my plugs and I was wanting to change the rubber boots inside the coil packs when I do it. Not to mention that with my luck half of them will rip when I go to pull the coil pack off the old plugs anyhow. I have talked to all the local parts stores and all of them are wanting to sell me the whole coil pack at $25.00 a pop!(including the local stealership that wanted $42.00 a piece)

So far in changing the plugs in the Ram and in the C, I've had no torn boots. $25 for a coil pack doesn't sound too bad - Amazon get $50 each for MSDs (in a pack of eight singles).

If this is the first plug change, I'd say go for it.

I have a 4.7 which I forgot to mention in the opening of the thread, will these still work?

Yeah, I ripped a boot when changing the plugs on my '08 4.7L. There are no boot replacements, just new coil packs for the '08. What I did, was purchase a boot for something else that fit onto the coil pack, and I trimmed it down to fit into the hole and onto the plug. Worked fine, and plugged the hole enough to keep crap out. However, the coil packs used on the 4.7L prior to '08 (the ones with only 8 plugs) were used on the Ram, Durango, Dakota, Grand Cherokee and pretty much anything with the 4.7L. There was a part number for those boots, it just would not work for my application.

Or you can just be very careful like I was when changing my plugs to not rip them. That's the cheapest option lol. Mine were suctioned in there pretty tight and took a good amount of force but I didn't rip any. As long as they aren't melted to the plugs you should be ok

Two of mine were in fact melted to the plugs. One took about 20 mins to pick out the rubber. I bought 8 boots expecting all to be as bad. Ended up only needing one. Bought my ram used so who knows how and when the last owner treated it. Almost time for the exhaust side.
