Default general grabber at2 35/12.5/20

07 1500 ram, 2" leveled. does anyone out there have general grabber at2's 35 x 12.5's on stock 20 wheels? i believe 06, 07 & 08's are the same suspension up front? first question, did you need 1/4" spacers to clear the a arm...? second, how do you like em?

i understand some tires fit without spacers and some dont, in that size.

thanks for any feedback!

I'd expect some additional insight from someone else that used the stock rims, but I believe the backspacing on the stock 20s will require you to use a spacer for that size of tire.

And I for one would NEVER use wheel spacers on a wheel or tire of that size...

How come? Too much stress on the hub?

How about starting with too much stress on aluminum bolts:

and while we're at it, there are a couple of other considerations:

A) Spacers move the rolling center of the wheel away from the bearing mid-line, so yeah there is more stress on the hub.

B) Spacers don't allow the wheel to fully seat like the hub flange does. On our hubs there is a small recess around the base of each lug so that the wheel deforms a bit when the lug is tightened. This allows the wheel lugnut to seat and acts upon the wheel like a lock nut would.

C) IFS trucks have so much less tolerance than a SFA and the spacers can easily throw things out of whack, so front end components wear faster.

D) Aluminum spacers have their lugs (bolts) press fit in and then bonded with a glue. Now personally, I won't use a spacer at all, but how much do you trust a glued in bolt to hold a LARGE, HEAVY tire on???

I know guys run with spacers, but me? No thank you...
