How do 35's fit on yours? How are they different than mine?

A) I have a torsion bar front end, you have coil overs, the coils take up space that prohibits wider tires. Design change for '06 1500 4x4s to give the truck a more car-like ride. I can fit 12.5" wide tires on stock rims (barely) because I don't have front coils taking up space.

B) My 17"x9" wheels have a backspacing of 4.5" (-12mm offset) which "throws" the tire outside of the wheel well farther than stock wheels (by about an inch and a half), giving more room for wider tire fitment.

Obviously you didn't read DirtyDogs tire/wheel guide I linked you.

You need a wheel with the proper backspacing to fit 35x12.5s, I would NEVER do wheel spacers on such a big tire myself (didn't I just post about that today?) but to each his own...
