The end of an era...
Well, as many of you know I've been out of work since November. Couldn't handle gas prices as BOTH of my vehicles are V8, 4x4s. Since the Jeep is up over 100,000 miles and aside from 3" of lift is pretty much stock and couldn't realistically get me more than $7500 selling it, the truck had to go.
A guy came yesterday morning and made me a really good offer on my truck. Obviously couldn't get back the over $13,000 in mods I've done to it, but I got full retail and about half of my mod money out of it, so I just couldn't say no.
After paying off my credit card debt, I might have enough left over for a 4 or 5 year old 4 banger to save me some money on gas. Currently hunting around for around an '06 or '07 Honda CRV or 'Yota RAV4...
It was great while it lasted...

I'm hoping this has something to do with today's calendar date... but, if not, it's understandable. Good luck in all future endeavors, as they say. Don't stray too far from these parts, either, as you are an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and an asset to this online community.
Thanks for all the help and advice you've given to me here...

Hammer, very sorry to hear you had to make this difficult sacrifice.
You did what you had to and in the end its the right choice.
Your expertise, knowledge and wit is one of the main reasons myself and many others visit this site.
Hopefully, you will still continue to give your great advice and the occasional humorous comment that I know we all enjoy on here.
I don't know if this is appropriate with a truck but it does come to mind:
"If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, its yours . If it doesn't, then it was never meant to be."
