Newer 07+ RCAB 4wd with a Hemi, Rare?
Folks, I was put in a position where I had to sell my 2005 QC Ram and buy a little econobox car.
Fast Forward a bit of time and I am back to where I can get financing for a newer to new ram. I have been looking very specific for a 2007+ regular cab shortbed ram 1500 with 4wd and a Hemi. But I can't find em anywhere, Everything I am seeing is QC or the RCAB's are lower engine or/and 2wd.
Heck, I can't even see find lower mileage single cab anything, F150, tundra, etc... When I was looking at my 05, the single cab trucks were all over the friggin place.
So I gotta ask, Is it just my location? I can't seem to find these anywhere close to me in the KC area. So far I have come across 1 and it was and 2007 with 160K+ miles for $14,000, Which my bank won't let me finance because miles.

I would say in today's world most people buy trucks for family use and towing boats, campers, etc. so you won't see many RC especially with the top engine choice short of the Ram R/T. The only people still interested in RC's are work forces who usually settle for the V6 version so the company's caught on to this and stopped making them I suppose. I'm sure you can still find one though

I was kinda hoping it was an area thing, and somewhere out there is a land of RCAB rams with hemis, lol. I know I can't be the only one who prefers the nice short stance.

I do remember that Toyota quit offering their 5.7 in the single cab not because of a lack of demand but because they couldn't make the engine fast enough. The bigger trucks make more profit so that's what it went into.
Toyota offers a supercharger too, with enough horsepower to give even the massive Sequoia a 13.0 second timeslip with factory-like reliability. Meanwhile Dodge does their best to prevent anyone from ever adding horsepower to their trucks.
I saw on TV a week or two ago where they added a blower to a new Hemi truck. I find it interesting they can program those ECUs with no problem but forced induction on a third gen is mostly dependent on which year you own. Not that I'd have the $3-4k to drop on a supercharger setup right now anyway...

Really!? I was always under the impression they were one of very few the light duty pickups that were actually tougher than our rams. I know for a fact the rear diff and the transfer case in the tundras are definitely tougher than the flimsy crap they put in the ram 1500's. With that said, The ram 1500's are still awesome trucks, and I can get a same year 1500 with same features for thousands less than I can get a tundra.
I was actually considering a 2002 RAM 2500 I came across the other day, It a bit high mileage at 92,000 miles, although it is still a baby. But the price is right.
