As the title says, I had some Plasti-Dip lying around and got bored on my day off, and entertained myself...I'm thinking about getting something more durable/more permanent because I like the look!

You can buy Vinyl strips to make those stripes and they will be UV resistant where as Plasti-dip isn't. Not the stuff you buy in the store anyways.

Thanks guys! I plan on doing this with vinyl at some point...just have to buy some and get some more time. I'd like to make it a bit glossier than this though.

 

Plasti-dip has that matte finish to it. Vinyl decals will as well to some degree. I think the matte finish matches the black trim perfectly. Make it shine and it'll make your trim look dull. By trim, I mean mirrors, cowl bezel, door handles..etc

 

Yeah, I had vinyl stripes on my last truck. I didn't like those as much though. I don't mean super glossy like the paint or anything...I just mean a LITTLE bit more so it looks cleaner. I found some pre-cut ones that I could order...or I can get a sheet and cut them myself...I'll probably cut my own so they are the size I want. I should hopefully be doing it here soon. BTW, since I sprayed them on I think I gained about 20HP...!

Here you go. A little bit on the expensive side, but Elite-Limit is very good quality, very tough and scratch/cut/tear resistant. If anyone remembers my little v6 RC, that was the brand that made the bed stripes and hood stripes i put on there, very good but VERY hard to get off if you ever change your mind.
