If you had $200...
I am definitely in the mind frame that if I can do it myself I will, but getting all the right parts together ( for an efan) is not so easy mainly because I do not know much when it comes to the electric department. Don care if I electrocute myself just don't wanna jack up my baby.
Ok, let me go a bit more in detail to help you guys out. My Taurus fan has three wires, black, orange and yellow. (ground, high and low speed)
Ground wire obvious goes to ground. You will need to extend the wire Im sure so that means you need maybe 2-3 feet of wire, a butt splice to connect the two pcs and a ring terminal to go under your ground bolt. Butt splices and ring terminals are avail everywhere (walmart, auto parts stores, harbor freight, ECT)
The controller I use is a Hayden 3647 and I bought it from a local auto parts store. They are avail online from many other places. It is a dual fan (not dual speed) controller.
On the controller there are a lot of wires you are not going to use. On those you are not going to use I suggest you add butt splices to one end to not only protect the end from touching anything but also to add an open end to ad wire to later if you ever need to.
Red - Constant 12v - add a ring terminal on it and put it under the nut on the post on the outside of the PDC on the 02-05 or battery on the 06-08
Yellow - switched 12v - You can add this to the red wire. In doing so the fan ill continue to run after the key is off. The benefits of this is you continue to cool things off and they do not heat soak as bad. The bad is if the controller ever goes bad somehow, potentially it could run and run until the battery is dead. Ive never had it happen but the possibility is always there. If not adding with the red wire then find a switched 12v source in your PDC. There are usually plenty of empty sockets you can tap from.
Black - ground.
Being I have a dual fan controller, there are two wires for two fans. Use ONE and put a butt splice on the other for no usage or future usage. I am not using my blue wire. I did take my orange wire and added a butt splice to it and connected it to my low speed wire on my fan. The high speed wire you can use a but splice on and not use it.
So you got a controller, fan, some ground wire, some butt splices and maybe 4 ring terminals.
That doesnt seem so bad now does it

If you dont already have one, a good Helix throttle body spacer will improve throttle response, and possibly gain a couple of hp, and a little torque. I have an electric fan on my 06 Ram, and I'm sure it freed up a few HP, but it isn't a seat of your pants mod. I actually felt nothing after the install.
Five seven....I think 1200 cfm is very low for a hemi truck. I'll have to look it up but I believe mine flows more like 2600-2800 cfm. It's a large single blade made by flex-a-lite. I've been running it 5 years now and works perfect. Never had the first overheat, even in this summers 105-109 temps here in Tn this summer. Look for Black max extreme 180 fan from flexalite. It comes with it,s own shroud, and a friend of mine with an 04 hemi truck turned me on to it. The shroud and all will fit inside the factory shroud, With a couple pieces of all thread, and about 1-2 hours time, you can have an electric fan, that is hidden from sight. When I bought mine it was 300.00, and got it from Moes performance
