Cdaddy: Thats an interesting idea, do you have any pictures to post up? I'd like to see it for sure. As for the durability, i've got about 1,000 miles since I did the wheels and they are holding up great. Bumpers and grill are doing great as well. I have one little mark on the step bars where the plasti-dip scratched off, must've been a rock or something. But, where I step on it to get into the truck is still holding up great. As for washing, I used to power wash my truck, but now I use a hose and microfiber scrub cloth, it's working well so far through 4-5 washes. I also have been scrubbing the bugs off the front bumper and that seems to be fine too, I was a little worried about it at first, thought maybe the bug guts would stick and pull off the plasti-dip but it's fine. Not sure about clear coat, but so far I haven't found it necessary, not sure you could keep the matte with a clear coat.

Dead2fall: I was considering doing that, but it seemed like a hassle to do it on the truck, and i didn't feel like putting it back after taking them off. How did you do that? Do you have any pictures? I like the naked look but would consider blacking the badges and reapplying them. Maybe the hemi badges at least. Definitely like the blue on black look though. Especially with a black tonneau cover and blacked out headlights. I like it a lot.

Just finished the hood and tailgate, some interior done as well. Pics up soon! What else are you doing? Headlamps? A nice eyebrow would look good! Black out the 3rd brake light w/ leds and tails as well! Hehehe!! For fun throw a blue night rider light behind the grill!

I have often wondered about doing this with my truck as well. I never really found any good pics of patriot blue and black, but these give me some ideas. I like the look, it's different.

I'll go ahead and say that since we have murdered (all black), and storm trooper (white with black), this could be called bruised (black and blue)

i did my headlights a couple weeks ago or so, they look sweet. Ill take a pic tonight and post it up. I'm not sure what else I will do at this point. I'd love to tint my tails but after reading a bunch about that i'm not sure, the local po po are a$$holes and I don't wanna be stopped all the time. 3rd brake light maybe, that'd be cool. Maybe ill still end up doing the tails, just not put a million coats of nightshade on there.

Let's see some pics, I wanna see that army green!

I like it (bruised). The blue on black has grown on me, I like it a lot now, I wasn't sure at first either. My chrome was starting to chip so I figured what the heck, worst case I just peeled the plastidip back off.

Taped out a tight box around the chrome lettering, sprayed it with plastidip, then you just peel from one corner of the box you taped. It'll peel off the paint and if you cleaned well and put a good coat on, it'll peel right around the lettering leaving it blacked.

No, we've got most of the Rhino lining off and emblems. Thier is NO easy way getting bed liner off. Going w/SEM Protex for the bed, front and rear bumpers. Color match the 1/4's. Blacked out lights and grill w/a cowl hood. And the nerf bars will be lined also.
