Hey, I am wanting to do some research on installing a Cold air intake system for my Ram. I also want to make it roar, don't want to go to pricey with the exhaust. Can anybody direct me what would be suggested for my truck?

I also have heard I can install a K&N cold air intake system for a 4.7 onto my truck as well, Just want clarification!

No flaming or hateful posts, please!

Make your own CAI much cheaper with same gains and as for exhaust I would go with mangaflow they run about $50-$75 for a muffler and will give u good sound, the reason I didnt say a Flowmaster or Cherrybomb is because I have heard V6s with them two mufflers and they sound like **** andbom not being hateful just trying to give you best advice

 

JBA has discontinued the 3.7 headers, but there is a set fairly cheap new set on a Liberty forum right now. Hypertech makes a programmer for the newer 3.7's. You unfortunately won't get much roar since it's a baby 6. In addition to a good exhaust, a CAI and a programmer, if you want to get interesting you could buy a spare set of cams and get them custom ground (nothing too wild as you would have is a canned tune or have to go through B&G).

 

I also have the 3.7L V6. I had a Glasspack on mine for about a week cuz i was told it sounded to make like a honda. I now have a 18" Magnaflow witch sounds great. If you want it to Roar go with a 14" magnaflow. I wish i did. For the cold ait intake just make your own. I can send you a pic of mine after i redo it.

 

On a side note, the Hypertech won't work for your year, but if you email Sean at hemifever tuning with your PCM part number, he can see if SCT is compatible. He was able to do this with my wife's Liberty 3.7 and I got a set of canned tunes (like a Superchips or Diablo would have) to load. He can also do custom tuning if you have mods that need it (I didn't). Woke that little engine up, even with the 87 tune.

 

look up weapon R for your cai and order the one for the 4.7 ... its the same set up, and it works freaken awsome
