Default Old Hemi vs 2.0T - Just for Fun

Hey guys. I'll be picking up a new toy in the next month or so and I can't wait. It's a 2010 Hyundai Genesis with the 2.0l turbo and 6 speed. Reading specs online for stock Rams (2004) and the Genesis, it looks like the ram would be about 1 second behind on the 0-60 and the 1/4. With the 4.56 rear end, I find it hard to believe I wouldn't make up the difference on the 0-60. I certainly don't think the car could keep up with me up to 40 at least if I can keep my tires from slipping. I've had an older gen mustang GT 4.6 before and no way would it keep up to the Ram right off the line. I think when it comes down to it, we'll have to work those gears perfectly to keep with the truck and I'm willing to take the time to try

I realize most on here seem to lean towards the 4x4 and offroad side of things but just curious to see if anyone had $20 bucks to put on either of those , which one would you pick?

I'd bet on the Ram in a short sprint to 60, but anymore and I think that turbo will reel you in. =/

I haven't been to friday night amateur runs at the track in years but looking at what people are posting online for stock 2l turbos, it looks like they would need the better part of he 1/4 to speed ahead. I'm not that worried about that since the truck is basically setup to tow and move my *** around town, but having a little fun off the line should be interesting for sure. I currently enjoy seeing guys in rice rockets have that surprised look on their face when they can't get around me in town from the red light. At least I'll know better with my car . I guess I'll have to start calling those little import cars something better now... neh maybe not

Looking at the speedo and tach picture, I hope you're not trying to sell 130 MPH @ 2200 rpm. With 3.92's, and 20 inch tires on my 06 hemi truck, at 2200, I'm only going between 75-80 mph. With 4.56 gears the only way you might be able to do that would be to run monster truck tires.

^^ That kmph not mph so its about 80mph. 2100-2200 rpm in .67 OD would be doable w/ 35-36" tires.

when im at around 78-80 my rpms are around the same as yours but my truck said stock that i have 3.55 gears...i wonder how i could tell if i have different gears in it. i hear by jacking it up and spinning the tires and counting the amount of turns that shaft goes? i guess i'll have to try that.

That would be a good option if you are not the original owner.
