It just seems like its that split second that the relay takes to engage thats causing this. The way you described, it would still hit the relay first and register that split second of open circuit causing the lamp out condition until the relay closes. I think if I hooked the bulb up before the relay and grounded it, it would work. The whole bulb thing is just for testing till I get my resistor. I'm not comfortable with it being rigged like that lol.

I did this...used 18g wire i believe, and a 25a fuse "EDIT Not sure now, have to look)" . I would hate to start a fire. 55w in there now and going tomorrow to upgrade most 55w to 100. 18g wire for most of the lights should be ok eh? :P

Ok, so I wired up load resistors before the relay going from original 12v lead (now the turn on signal for relay) to the ground in the harness for the taillight. Same thing on pass side. So before the relay I'm pretty much simulating a bulb on either side. I still occasionally get a split second lamp out light and chime when either shifting to reverse or passing over it to drive. I can't replicate it, it seems completely random. I'm lost at this point, any ideas?

So in other words...

I just don't get why im getting that split second bulb out warning.

How many ohms are the resistors? Does the resistance measurement of each of them match the resistance of each original bulb? Basically each resistor will need to be the same resistance as each bulb it replaces.
This is the only thing that comes to mind at the moment. Your diagram of the install looks to be correct (nicely done by the way...) and should work as long as the resistances are correct and there isn't another unknown issue at fault here.

6ohm 50w. See I would think if it was the resistors it would happen everytime. It's totally random though. I'm thinking possibly a ground issue somewhere.
