A/C clutch not engaging. need new unit???

Default A/C clutch not engaging. need new unit???

can i just take the connector off and supply it with 12.6 volts to see if it will engage. done cheched all related fuses and solonoids, anything else?? thanks.

found the problem, the condensor fan is shot and the ac wont engauge until it can make a complete circuit, anybody on here have one for sale??

Right now im having the opposite problem. It wants to be engaged all the time, unless the cab fan is off, or is in the red part of therm ****.

sound like you relay is sticking in the closed position. take your relay out and see if it stops then take some jumper wires and use those to engage/disengage and if it does then you know its your relay.

where is the relay for the AC. on the pump is self, theres 2 sets of connectors coming off it. Plus a seperate line for AC fan.

Relay should be in your fusebox, use the map

yeah, take your fuse box lid off, then look at the diagrahm of whats where. there's one relay and one fuse that controls the system i think, but your after the relay.
