Thoughts on tire dilemma
dont get zeons I had them on my other dodge, They have 23000 miles on them and there already at the wear line never spin my tires. My tire shop was all about the zeons when they first came out and now they wont even sell them because they have had so many complaints about them.
Thanks for the suggestions. The Toyo AT 2's look good. Time to call around a few tire shops and compare pricing. I thought having to re-tread the 20's was expensive. I guess I can't complain compared to the Canadian prices.
I am also torn between two tires:
1) BF GoodRich RUGGED TERRAIN T/A
P275/60R20 RUGGED TERR T/A BSW 114T

or
2) Toyo OPEN COUNTRY A/T II
P275/60R20 OPEN CNTRY A/T II BLK

Now just imagine rim prices up here too. Id love to get a decent set of black rims and some good rubber, But i know its going to cost me around 2200 - 2600.
I really like the look of the rugged terrains, but I cant see them doing very good at all in wet or snowy conditions.
Ive been thinking on the general tire at2 personally.
Yea I would stay away from the rugged terrains personally (well depends on what you do with the truck). The General Grabber AT2s were my first choice of tire but I couldn't get them in the right size or price
Thirty two years of owning 4x4s and I've never owned a set of either Goodyear or BFG tires that didn't give me problems. So I'd opt for the Toyo tires personally. Although I will say that I had a set of Terra Grapplers on my Grand Cherokee that were awesome in every environment except deep mud (but then again NO A/T tire is good in deep mud). Probably the single best wet pavement tire I've ever owned. I also keep reading rave feedback from guys across multiple forums about the AT3. IMO you can't go wrong with either the Toyo, Nitto or Cooper...

I'm definately the lucky one here. I work for Bridgestone- Firestone, and get my 20's for under 500.00 a set, out the door. You guys running AT tires need to look at some of the Bridgestone Dueler line. Great tires great mileage great ride, and for me great price but I don't know what the price to the general public would be. I am currently running 275-55-20 Firestone Destination LE tires. Better price than Bridgestone but still a very good tire
