Default Death of the kicker brand

so incase you didn't know (you proboably didn't), I am a die hard kicker fan, or was. i have all kicker in my truck, 2 12"s all door speakers on kicker blood and kicker amp to boot.

my good ol kickers a full year old now ^

It would seem that in the last month or two kicker hit the shelves of walmart and i am saddened. Now am i now one of those kids with walmart brand audio... here is a pic my friend sent me at our local walmart.

incase you werent aware in most cases when walmart becomes a distributor of a product quality goes down the drain. i think i might have to open up my wallet soon for jl audio...

Walmart, the destroyer of everything that is holy and sacred. I say unto you, my brothers, that we mustn't bend to Walmart's will. We must stand together united and say "No, we will not buy this pair of shoes for $40, even if Footlocker sells the same exact pair for $50!"

So yeah. Kicker. Boo.

good argument , however the equivilent of this would be crutchfield (footlocker) and any audio dealer (walmart) is that the dealer will have great prices and crutchfield has outrageous prices, however very often crutchfield or foot locker have greater sales, and in the case of crutchfield lots of buy 1 get 1 frees. also great customer service at crutchfield. walmart is the lowest of low.

Generally speaking, when a big company does business with walmart, they sell them a ****tier product. Alot of things have part numbers specifically made for walmart/kmart. I actually have a few old fishing reels I was looking up and found this out.
Reels looked EXACTLY the same, but some interior parts were changed to nylon/plastic vs metal, or HD sealed bearings vs crappy ones. So odds are if you buy the walmart version of of the CV10 it will be made with less quality material, or workmanship. Wheras if you buy it from a top line retailer, it will be the higher quality version. Just speculating here, but I bet that's the deal.

For instance (kicker subs not coming up on walmart site): http://www.walmart.com/ip/Kicker-iKI...Black/13282441 walmart version 09ik501 $169

http://www.kicker.com/iKICK_iK501 kicker version ik501 $279

Although the spec's look the same to me, they have to be cheaping out on something for a $110 difference selling to walmart.
