Ok new to the Dodge Ram 1500, I have already swapped out the muffler with a AT3030 and did a res. delete.(Sounds Sweet) A friend has a Magnaflow 3" Y-Pipe and I crawled under the truck last night and contrary what I have searched and read the CAT pipe is 2.5 in and 3" out on the OEM Y-Pipe. So question is this?

Is it OK to use the 3"in and 3" out Y-Pipe? If so I am assuming that I am just going to buy some 2." to 3" adapter pipe and then connect?
