Bullydog Programmer on 5.7L a little off
Ok...I ran it a couple times today. Rev to 1300 RPM at launch, any more and the tires just spin on take-off. Yes, the times are right (I was sketchy about that too so I had my brother with a stop watch time the programmer). I dusted a BMW M3 by at least 4 car lengths and a Honda S200 didn't even stand a chance tonight.
I found out the issue with the performance setting by looking at the timing advance readout bullydog provides.
In stock, advance reaches a maximum of 27 degrees spark advance
economy reaches 36 degrees spark advance
performance reaches 57 degrees spark advance by 3500 rpm and it feels like the motor is starting to bog down. Needless to say, I IMMEDIATELY pulled over and set it back to economy mode.

Oh, I also have the TM Delete Mod cause I got an 03.
I took out a quarter inch of meat off the head on two sides of the exhaust ports and one eighth of an inch off of the other two sides of the ports. I increased the diameter of the ports by 3/8 inch and changed them from square to round to port match to my headers. Also buffed the exhaust ports to a mirror finish. I did not do the intake seeing as they are already port matched to the plastic intake manifold.

That's the link to my Port and Polish thread I started almost 2 weeks ago.

Ive been hearing bad stuff about the TRM delete.... I still have it though
I have a feeling bullydog might have wrong calculations for tire size causing all the numbers to be wrong, but the speed matches the one on my GPS and dash. I'm getting real skeptical about this last bullydog programmer update. Anybody close by atlanta with a diablo sport tuner I can try out for a few days and see if I get different numbers?
Ok, I hope to get the Diablo Sport Tuner for x-mas. I'll check my bullydog programmer up against the diablo sport and do a side to side test of both of them displaying pictures of the results and everything else. I got a good feeling that the Bullydog programmer is not putting out the right numbers. I sure hope it is tho because that is some fast numbers. The truck does feel like it has the power. I just need to make sure my Numbers are right. It will not only prove if the tuner is right, but it will also show everyone the difference in the tuning of one programmer over another.
I have an extremely hard time believing those times to be correct.
Get to the drag strip and get some real ETs....
The real way to tell if there is something wrong is to strap that truck on the Dyno and try each one out.
