Bullydog Programmer on 5.7L a little off
I still think those times are WAY off. No way can you have a 5500LB truck with those minimal mods run in the 12's. I'm not trying to be a d*ck, I just can't see it.
I agree almost 100% but if Sabins Sig is right and he is flirting with 500hp 12s arent that far out of reach but still very very hard to see that tank flying 12s lol!
Yeah, I agree with ya'll, that's why the post title says Bullydog programmer a little off...lol I was in the high 13's before the porting and polishing tho. I would run between 13.8 and 14.4 sec. quarter mile depending on my launch at Atlanta Raceway drag strip in Commerce, GA. They hold what they call Fast Fridays where you pay $5 per run and either go against a friend or the clock. Doesn't matter.
My truck weighs more than that. The plate inside the door says 6550 lbs and the scale at the scrap yard says 7367 lbs with my bed box full of tools and some in the back seat.
I'm wondering, if everyone knows the weight of their vehicle, are we all scraping truckloads of metal with our trucks every now and then? I'm a machinist, fabricator and electrician at a metal forming factory and I collect the scrap metal in the machine shop and take it to the scrap yard every couple weeks for lunch money. I see the weight of my vehicle at least every month. It changes depending on what tools I'm keeping in the cab and if anyone is with me. (The bed box is always full to the brim with all my tools for working on vehicles. I never know when someone at work needs me to do something to their car from change the brakes, suspension pieces, body panels, install sterio systems, diagnose, timing belts, water pumps, axels...etc. It's full of specialty tools, pullers, drivers, hydrolic jack, jack stands, Air tools, hand tools,....etc. Basically, my whole garage...minus the engine hoist.
But anyways. I'm gonna find out if this Bullydog programmer is telling me the truth or not. I want to believe it, but until I get a second matching number from another source, I can't.

They all make a difference. They mainly change the spark advance and fuel map around a little. Everyone seems to go with the Diablo. I just so happened to end up with a Bullydog. You could also go for some mid-length headers. for better flow out of the engine. Programmer might be the best choice right now. It has lots of little gizmos to keep track of things with your truck and gonna keep you occupied with playing around in your truck...
With the mods he listed, he does not have 500HP. No way.
