I'm wondering if anyone else on here has a Bullydog programmer on their 5.7L Ram? I have an 03 and with the last programmer update, I loose performance in performance mode. Economy mode seems to have the best power. It gives me the best quarter mile time too.

On the same stretch of road within 15 minutes each time doing the performance testing. Premium fuel, cold air intake, OBX headders, Magnaflow dual exhaust, JET throttle body spacer, ported and polished heads, Firestone Destination A/T with 50% tread, and a bed box loaded to the brim with tools. Bout 500 lbs of tools or more.

Stock:
0-60 mph ...................... 6.1 sec.
60 foot .......................... 2.2 sec.
quarter mile time .......... 13.2 sec.
quarter mile speed ....... 97 mph

Economy:
0-60 mph ...................... 5.3 sec.
60 foot .......................... 1.9 sec.
quarter mile time .......... 12.4 sec.
quarter mile speed ....... 107 mph. (hit the speed limiter just before the quarter mile mark)

Performance:
0-60 mph ..................... 6.2 sec
60 foot ......................... 2.2 sec
quarter mile time ......... 14.8 sec
quarter mile speed ...... 93 mph

 

At first I just read the numbers and was like damn that's fast! Then I saw the mods you have and it makes more sense now lol. Sounds like they just mixed up the econ and performance tune files to me.

 

That still seems crazy fast to me. I am a noob though and have never tried my truck stock, but that is fast!

 

well something is definitely up there, a 1 sec difference is major. unfortunately i don't have the bullydog, so no help here. Did you do it more than once? maybe it got some weird error, though if you feel it driving around all the time then that's probable not the case.

 

12.4 seconds? Am I missing something here? IS porting and polishing the heads make that much of a difference? That seems unlikely to me.

I mean I know the stock numbers are off because even if it's "Stock" without the tuner but all the mods that's still saying you're faster than an SRT 10

 

thats pretty fast... my girlfriends rallye redline challenger with sport mode on does 0-60 in 7.6 and that car is pretty light

And im running High 7s with a blown head gasket and the Mods listed...

Damn. I suppose I need to run my truck one day so I can not sound like an idiot! Lol Also, maybe I should get 2 more jobs so I can start paying for this stuff so I can join the "Awesome Truck" club that you guys got going on here lol
