Default Exhaust Discussion

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi with a Cold Air Intake, and Dual Super 44 Flowmaster, and there are straight pipes. I wanted to have a discussion on what would give me a deep/low sounding exhaust. Want to see other people opinions. Thanks

Welcome to DF! I haven't a clue. I like the quiet factory mufflers on my 98 and 08 Rams. I have no need for an audible ***** measuring contest.

It goes for too many truck owners, too. Just kidding! But darn funny.

Do you have a Flowmaster Or straight Pipe?? Cant have both...

If you do have the Flow thats about the deepest sound you will find but your preformance will suffer

Go with Magnaflow.

I had a '98 Chevy 1500 single exhaust into dual out Magnaflow muffler, no catalytic converter, it had an awesome deep rumble.

Ya Flowmasters can be a bit restrictive?

Why not youtube around for different flowmaster setups on similar trucks?

the only thing that's probably going to be louder than that is if you go to a glasspack. Personally i like the magnaflows but if you like the sound of the flowmaster, go with that. Also if you remove your resonators if you haven't done that yet will increase sound.

Yeah, this is true for some people, but there's nothing wrong with having a nice rumble for your truck. Now the people who make it scream at completely unnecessary times like late at night in a neighboorhood... well they can stuff it, jerks.

Well to be honest, If you put your cats back on it would probably be deeper. With your cats off its gonna be louder more than it will be deeper no matter what muffler you put on.

The set up you have now isnt going to get any deeper, you have one of the most restrictive mufflers on the market. And def one of the deepest sounding mufflers too. I encourage you to look at other mufflers like magnaflow, like i said with your cats off nothing is going to get deeper only louder and more pop to it.
