I respect the cars that start life out as a boring and uninteresting car, and in the hands of someone skilled, get to be cars that live at 400HP. That's cool. I love that. And I respect that.

What I don't get, I don't know if I don't respect them, the driver might be a very nice person, but what I don't get, is a car that started out as a boring and uninteresting car, and IS STILL a boring and uninteresting car, but with a lot of useless add on crap glued to the outside of it. Sorry, that was a run on sentence, but this turned into a bit of a rant, I guess.

If you have a car like this, or are friends with someone who has a vehicle like this, then just take my post for what it is, my opinion. I'm sure they're nice folks. I have nothing against the people that drive them. My feud is with the car.

And they don't argue back... The nerve. Lol.

I should just add, that I don't mean that people who drive family sedans are boring. I mean, some people buy cars for practicality's sake, and that is a totally different angle that which I am arguing.

I'm not against practicality.

Back in the day I wanted to step on it for some folks but despite my best effort, I've never been challenged. Nowadays I don't feel it's worth burning a gallon of gas to race. My truck is also entirely stock now, which is the way I prefer it, so the 250hp our Hemi's get to the wheels isn't going to blow the doors off of much anymore.

Man a Hemi is a life experience. Anything a Ford or Chevy has for a power plant is just someting that makes them move. When you go to a Bar do you ask for a beer? Or do you ask for a particular brand? You see these guys with Fords or Chevy's went to a dealer and asked for a Truck and they gave em one for a price. A Dodge a Chrysler product with a Hemi requires thought and preference. Man a Hemi is an experience everything else is just well you know ........transportation.

I kind of agree. While the Vortex and the Triton/Ecoboost might be just as good, you don't see people walk around with Triton hats or Vortex t-shirts. And Ecoboost, while in itself may be a great motor for saving the world, I wouldn't want to brag about it in a bar.

Chrysler sure did their homework when they marketed the engine. "I've got a Hemi," just seems tough, masculine, old school, etc.

I went to a Ford dealership and asked for a light pick-up truck. Something like a little Ranger or something. They said they had the perfect truck for me. A few minutes later, I see that HEMI emblem pull around the side of the building and I was just like....AWWWW YEAH!!!!! My dream truck right their. Color and all was what I was wishing for but never knew I could afford one until that day. They asked for 14K. I drive it home that night for 8K and it was all mine. MWA HA HA HA HA!

Man, as I read that I could not help but hear the guy's voice from the Ram commercials. You should have ended that with "GUTS GLORY RAM". Well said brother

And why do you own a Ram or come to this site if you hate them so much? Just curious.
