Uconnect
So I have been doing some research into installing a FACTORY Uconnect system into my truck(2007 Ram 1500) and i just thought i would share what I have found even though I sure this has been gone over somewhere else on another post. What i am going to talk about should be the same for all 06-08 Rams with the CAN-Bus wiring.
PART #s
Uconnect Auto Dim Mirror(where mic and control buttons are)- 05064017AD
Uconnect Module (Brains of System)- 5064013AV
Mirror Jumper Harness (wiring that runs from mirror down to connector in Passenger side A Pillar)- 56051317AC
Jet Harness (Harness made by JetPilot and Jaak (LXFORUMS) that connects module)- or you can make your own- Directions http://www.lxforums.com/board/f70/in...your-lx-22586/
LOCATION OF PARTS:
MODULE- to the left of the glove box on metal frame of dash (have to remove glove box to see)
I have found that some people have the wiring for Uconnect already in their truck. So they don't have to buy the Jet Harness and everything for them is plug and play.
But if you dont have the wiring already installed for the module then you will have to make your own "Jet harness" of buy one for $79.95+S&H. the only difference between the LX cars and our trucks is that our trucks mirror wiring goes to the Passenger side A Pillar and the pins are different for our connectors. NOTE: I have NOT done the install yet so, I am not sure that the pins on the jet harness are the same as the ones required for our truck's connectors. So, you might have to cut the connectors off and solder the wires together instead.
So, if you buy the jet harness then the wires from that harness should connect as followed:
Jet Harness Wire Color- Mirror Jumper Wire Color
PIN 6- Yellow w/ Blue Stripe- Black w/ Dark Green Stripe
PIN 7- Green- Black w/ Yellow Stripe
PIN 8- White w/ Blue Stripe- Black w/ Orange Stripe
PIN 9- Yellow w/ Red Stripe- Black w/ Purple Stripe
PIN 10- Orange- Black w/ White Stripe
PIN 11- Orange w/ White Stripe- Black w/ Brown Stripe
The above pin numbers are for the C206 14 Pin Connector which is the one you need to install uconnect.
The Connector in the Passenger Side A Pillar is the C206 Connector which is a 14 Pin connector. You either have this 14 Pin connector or a smaller 6 Pin connector. If you have the 14 Pin connector then Uconnect is already pre-wired. But, if you have the 6 Pin then you will have to go to a junk yard and find that 14 Pin connector so you can plug the mirror jumper harness into it. Also i learned that the C206 14 pin connector is the same connector as the C201 in the trucks, so you can get that one also which is located on the driver side of the dash( I think it is in the A Pillar but not sure).
To see the connector Pin-outs look here under wiring 8W, http://mike.networkmartin.com/2008%2...%20FSM/FSM.pdf
This is all I know about the Uconnect system and I Haven't installed it yet so I am not 100% on this information either, but when I do install it i will be following these directions.
NOTE: I am not an electrician and I am not liable for any misinformation. This is just speculative information that I am pretty sure about and will be following myself.
I hope this helps fill in the blanks for some people trying to do this mod.

Keep us posted. Mine is factory installed and works great. I like the caller id on my RAQ radio. I can't remember if the original REF radio displayed the incoming number or not.Much better than fumbling around with my phone while driving.
The REF radio just says, "CELL", too bad that's the one I have. I might add the RAQ radio to get the caller ID, but then I will loose the AUX jack which I like. Also the install probably will not happen until summer because that is when I don't have school and make money. But, either way I will definitely post my results/ progress.
Go here,http://www.ramtrucks.com/en/owners/manuals/ and look up your truck. Then look under the uconnect(hands free) section. But, basically you press the uconnect button on the rear view mirror and then say, "Setup Phone Pairing" and follow the directions the system gives you.
I cannot find the module for uconnect on my 07 mega cab. Could someone show me a picture or expkain what it looks like. I am trying to disconnect mine cause my after market stereo Bluetooth wont work properly.
