Default Exhaust

I have a 07 Dodge Ram Hemi 1500 Sport 4x4. I am looking to put a better exhaust system on it to make it louder, I have a Magnaflow muffler on it now with a turn down. I am curious on what other dodge owners do to their trucks to make them sound good and loud. Nothing crazy loud just loud to sound good. Also the muffler that is on it now is 24" i was wondering is it louder with a smaller muffler and which pipes go in and out.

I did pacesetter headers with a pair of cherry bombs. I originally bought a Walker/Thrush performance and had a welded thrush laying around. Without the headers it was almost silent. Even with the headers the Walkers were too quiet. I said F** it and bought two cherry bombs. Quiet when idling but will turn a few heads when you get on 'er. Not recommended for driving 2-3 or more hours frequently. Then again I brought mine out in front of the rear tire so that doesn't help. Personally though I don't listen to the radio anymore. The exhaust is music to my ears.

I was in an accident 2 years ago and it bent the tail pipe so, Insurance paid for a new muffler and tail pipe. I was not going to go stock so I purchase the GIBSON SUPER TRUCK EXHAUST SYSTEM from Autopartswarehouse.com and I love it. Truck sounds awesome and looks great too. Pipes exit in front of the rear tire I ahve a pure stock 4.7L and it sounds beautiful....Hope this helps...

I put a Magnaflow cat-back on my 07 and I love it.It's not too loud until you mash on the gas....then it makes noise.I think the cat-back system I have came with an 18" muffler,if that helps any.
