Default Leveling kit vs spacers.

I have a 2wd 2005 stock dodge ram 4.7 really wanting to level up the front end And get rid of the 2wd look so I can put mud tires on. I had a few friends tell me all I really need is some 2 inch spacers they do the same thing for a lot cheaper than a leveling kit. What do you all think. I'm pretty new to the truck world.

Spacers aren't recommended on here. Spend a little coin and get 3 inch lift spindles from airbagit. $300 and I guarantee you'll get the look you want without sacrificing much if anything like with spacers. I honestly don't know why anyone still makes spacers, let alone why people still buy them.

I can't seem to find any spindle lift kits on their website. Got a link? This is all I could find

If you dead set on running some on your truck. Daystar makes some for the 2 wheel drive fellows and they are backed by a lifetime warrenty. Regardless of what some others believe I am running some daystars on my 3500 SRW 2 wheel drive. Grant it I am skeptical as to how well they will hold up to, but time will tell. There is no end to how much you can spend on these trucks and your wallet may not be as thick as others might be. O8 hemi has a good idea to with the different spindles. But just in case you wanted to look at the rubber spacers www.suspensionconnection.com

I got 2" level spacer on the front of mine (same truck as you btw).I've had them on for about 2 years and i have beat the living he** out of my truck with no problems.Despite what others may say about spacers,They will handle anything you can throw at them

Nothing wrong with coil spacers this guy bashes them in almost all leveling threads.

Daystar makes a great product and can be found way cheaper than spindles. Your truck is probably not 3" nose heavy anyways and the aftermarket lift spindles will cause your front tires to stick out further than your rear tires...ask me how I know.

You could even do spacers and the spindle lift to get about 5". Spacers are generally frowned upon because it ruins the stock geometry of the suspension, but on 2wd's there's nothing to really worry about. On 4x4's the cv axles will wear out, however that will happen with any level kit period.
