Engine blown at 80k miles no warranty even though they say they have warranty Do not buy their products
If you bought the truck new, then you have a lifetime powertrain warranty. If you bought it used, then you have whatever warranty that the selling dealership offered you.
If you bought new, you must have the truck inspected every 5 years buy a dealer. You have 60 days before and after the in-service date (day you took delivery) every 5 years to keep the warranty. Mine is going in Monday for it's 5yr inspection. My 08 Hemi runs like a scalded dog.
I hope you didn't run 87 octane fuel either because with the Hemi, the owners manual recommends 89 octane. 87 can detonate and cause big problems down the road.
That being said, we do need more info and as mentioned above, you may need to find a dealer with a better service department if they can't find the issue after a day or two, week tops.
I drowned mine a few months after buying it! haha.
This is what a piston crown looks like when swamp water sits on it for a few weeks. You'll notice that there isn't very much connecting rod attached to that piston.

I have legitimate issues with my 06 2500 but I'm not ready to call it junk, any othier make has the potental be a thousand times worse and never ten times as good.
Well sorry for your luck dude. I am on my fourth Ram, my fist, I gave to my kid brother. My second, I sold. My third was stolen and was a total loss. And my fourth is a 08' 4.7L 4x4 QC red beast. No problems, no issues. I do the maintenance and do not let it wait.
