Help with audio upgrade.
Ok guys after doing some reading on here and looking at a lot of pics I would like to ask all of you for some help on upgrading my audio.
2004 QC.
Pioneer head unit[ came with truck]
Pioneer 6x9 front and Pioneer 6.5 or 5.1/4 in rear.[came with truck]
I added Boston acoustic 3.5" for the dash.
Picked up a new mdf box for 12"s on craigslist.[Which I later matched up a few local dealers as the same one they sell...supposed to be based on the probox]
So I went and looked for subs and an amp...and threw the box in under my seat..didn't seem to fit real well...so we tried their boxes, probox/wooden/and even a foxbox..all with the same results.
Seems as if the carpet needs to be stretched ? in order for it to sit flush.
Also are there spacers that can be bought to allow my rear seat to close completely over the box?
And the last question....
What is the best bang for buck amp and sub combo?
I have looked at kicker so far and alpine subs..And Kicker and planet audio amps.
I have to keep the budget pretty low at this time but can't stand to turn the radio on any more it sounds terrible.
{My wife has a Bose system so it kills me to go from her car to mine...]
Any help or opinions or pics would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think I can help you much here. You are probably looking for something with a little more thump than what I used. But I bought a low profile powered sub that was designed to fit under a seat and I placed it under my passenger seat. It's made by Sound Ordnance and I bought it from Crutchfield. It doesn't rattle mirrors like a tube or big box but it fits and its out of the way and it really made a big difference over the stock Infinity system that I am still using for speakers.
I find it funny how people like or dislike certain things. You say your wife has a Bose system and it blows yours away. I just bought my Dad's Silverado and it has a factory Bose system in it that I think sounds great. No need to change a thing except I did put a new Kenwood head unit in it. To me, it sounds as good as the RAM does and doesn't even need an external sub to get there. But I joined a truck forum for the Chevy and they did nothing there but trash the factory Bose system as being overpriced junk. I have a lot of Bose stuff at home and even carry their headphones with me when I fly and it all sounds great to me. I bought most of it on open box buys. I agree that you pay a lot for the name when you buy Bose but I don't get arguing the quality of sound - yet many still do it.

Yeh I had an Altima for a rental car a couple weeks ago and the system did sound really good. The 7 speaker setup in my Chevy sounds good too, especially now that I can really tune it with my new head unit.
I run infinity kappa perfects in all doors, with tweeters mounted strategically, 1200w 4 way to them, 10 inch kicker shallow mount cvt under the rear seat amped with 1000w. These run off a Pioneer 80prs and it is the best sounding system I've ever heard in a car. The pioneer 80prs is an incredible piece of technology especially for the money. This is a build for sheer sound quality and not SPL and bells and whistles with the deck. I've built a number of systems and my buddy even more and he agrees it sounds disgustingly good. It gives me chills all the time.

Just want a good bang for my buck system..
Im thinking of just adding an amp to the pioneers for now and add 2-12's and an amp.
Looking at the shallow pioneer subs [can't remember the model number].
