Default Pulled over for tinted tail lights?

Anyone had trouble with this? I went a little crazy with the vht night shades today and I'm wondering if that will be a problem. Also more importantly will it affect my insurance rates if I do get a ticket since it's not a moving violation?

How dark are your taillights? Most states have a minimum for the distance tail lights need to be seen during the day and night. It also depends on the cop too. Some will just tell you you need to fix 'em, others will just give you a ticket.

I just did mine on saturday. I am worried bc cops around here are really **** about tints and stuff. I tinted my windows myself to save some money for anticipated tickets. Really depends on the cops in your town.

As far as insurance rates I dont think they would go up because a ticket like that is just a fine. You can really keep paying them and still keep the tints on but it wont bring any points on your license. I would think it would be like this for most states. Some states give you tickets and if you prove you removed the tints they will wave it

Some may get pulled the first day rolling out and some may never get pulled over. Ran mine for a couple of years fine until Jan this year when i got pulled over and issued a fix it warning. Mine are pretty dark.

Oops forgot about that sig.

Earlier in the year I thought about returning the suspension and engine mods to stock then sell off the parts and carry the mod $$ into supercharging my SRT Jeep but decided to do it the hard way and just save up lol.

Why anyone would tint tail lights is beyond me. Let's make those bright red lights dimmer so that distracted teenager behind you on the phone will ram into your Ram!

Mine are kinda close to the orange truck above. My truck has no more chrome just a black and white color scheme and having bright red lights on the back throws the whole look off. I had a cop behind me on the highway today and didn't get pulled over.

yes a ticket can impact your insurance if you get a ticket. Regardless of what others may say here any and all citations you have every been issued can be used to rate your policy. Depending on the type of citation they look either 3 or 5 years back.

I have worked in insurance for nearly 5 years now.
