Default 4.7 Mileage

Hi guys. What do you guys get for mileage on a 4.7 in a 1500? My dad has a 2002 4.7 with 3.55's and 285/75/17 tires. He's getting around 12 mpg average. I have a little knowledge on these engines, I'm a 2nd guy so these are out of my region lol. Any help is appreciated

Sell it and buy a Hemi.

Driving around 60mph I could get 20mpg even loaded up, but the way I normally drove- anywhere from 15-17 on average. Which is 70 to 75mph or faster and city traffic here and there.

Don't buy a gas Dodge if you want good mileage.
