Nice install but why an OEM unit with so many after market pieces are available and give more options and better sound?

I did check out the aftermarket units. But they fall felt cheap, unless I wanted to spend $500 or more on one. The removable faceplates rattle, they creak when you squeeze the, and they all make these god awful TEEK DOO BOOP BEEP BOP noises when you turn the key. I'm also not a fan of bright as the sun neon blue backlit displays blasting my retinas at night.

No offense given here but I take it you haven't ever owned a decent after market unit?

Brightness can be set to auto dim based on what time of day it is, if you turn your headlights on or some have a button you can push to dim. Most can change colors of the buttons. The sound some make every time you turn the key or press a button all can be disabled through its settings menu.

You could get a mid line Pioneer 2013 model for around 250-350.

Either way, you got something that works now and that's what it important.

By the way, PLEASE do not wrap that dash piece in vinyl or leather. It reminds me of all the cheap jobs half these guys around here in ghetto sleds try to pass off as expensive work because they were too cheap to pay for extra labor and materials for fiberglass finished correctly and painted

Its just me but I have never cared for dashed wrapped in leather or vinyls. Its your truck and you drive it and gotta like it no matter what
