Default Dodge Lifetime warranty, Really Lifetime?

Just a quick question for all the experts out there. I just left my dodge place after getting the radiator replaced on my 2008 Ram and the service adviser made a comment that has me worried.

I have the Lifetime warranty from dodge and according to my service guy there is now a note on my file that says call for approval on repairs...

The truck has almost 400k on it and the adviser stated that at some point Dodge will not pay for large repairs but instead just offer me book value to "Buy out the truck"

Any truth to that? I am planning on running this beast out to the million mile mark if possible.

Thanks

Do you have any of the warranty paperwork? If so, read through everything and see if there is a clause where Dodge states what is considered to be "Lifetime" for repairs or the vehicle.

I have the paperwork "filed" somewhere safe after 2 moves.. I will have to dig it out if it ever comes to that.

I know there is a clause that says if i dont follow mfg service schedule then they can deny claims. But to date I have NEVER missed an oil change, tuneup, trans/diff service, coolant service etc. Every service they recommend I have done. (probably would have been cheaper to let warranty go and save money on all the services... lol)

Yes, quite true. Find the paperwork and see what it says. You may need to consult with an attorney if you find copies of the paperwork. It depends on how far you're going to be willing to push the issue assuming Dodge didn't give itself an "out", so to speak.

I would ask dodgecares or dodgeCAcares on this information. This new to me. Send them a PM and E-mail if they have one.

There is some limitation on the web site for 7 years 100,000 miles for the towing and extra benefits. I did not see any legal type information on the web site.
