here is the magnaflow y pipe. There is a list of muffler flow rates over in the FAQ, if you are basically stock, no more than 600 CFM is recommended.

The magnaflow Y pipe is a weld in piece. The factory Y pipe will have to be cut out and the new one welded in. Best done by a muffler shop. There really is nothing easy when dealing with exhaust systems, even brand new ones are a pita to get apart, unless you have a rack and can work standing up under the vehicle, and even then sometimes they're still a pita. If you're looking for single exhaust you will need a 3 inch inlet 2.5 inch outlet muffler, which can be found just about anywhere mufflers are sold. If you don't know what size muffler to get, have a muffler shop tell you what you need and then let them install it, and you will be way ahead of trying to do it yourself, since as you say....you are a novice. Your truck just needs a regular muffler....400-500 cfm will work fine...nothing fancy or high flow
