Ollo we just purchased a 2008 dodge ram 1500 . It needs some work but the truck was reasonably priced we need to replace the front cv axle and the intermintin shaft . I am having a heck of a time finding the intermintin shaft online and around my location. I can however find the parts I need for a 2005. Can i use the 2005 parts to fix my 08 as they are both 3rd gen.
Also will parts for the 3rd gen 1500 be the same

Which shaft are you looking for??? Where is it located?

 

The intermediate shaft from the front diff to the cv shaft and to know what 3erd gen parts are compatible

I would think all the half-tons would be, but, not 100% sure on that.
