3” coil lift issue Need Help STAT?! Please
I’m inexperienced for starters, but far from being, or at least I thought lol. But after I dumb Installed front 3” coil spacer lift(non bolt on’s) today, it appears that my upper control arm, as well as the rest of my connections(tie rod, sway bar link, etc.), are at horrible positions. No I didn’t use compressor only floor jack, and all went well til I bolted everything back together. Also the Shock bolt/rod doesn’t come back through on top side enough to fit grommet and washer either only could get but on for now. I aborted for the day to get parts to be able to fix properly before touching it again, and will only put a tire on it if safe. Someone please inform me of what maybe went wrong, or was am/was I ignorant of, and what can I buy(inexpensive as possible, to make my truck safe and stable? 02 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd
The shocks are likely too short, so, they will act as limiting straps now, when you suspension goes to full droop, the shocks will stop it.... Not really good for the shocks.
Also, you have just dramatically changed the suspension geometry, beyond what the factory anticipated. Just throwing spacers in there isn't gonna cut it. You are going to eat ball joints, and various other parts on the front end, you are 2 wheel drive? Well, don't have to worry about front axles at least.....

Well today after work I jumped str8 back on my truck, i for 1, left the original rubber cap and installed spacer under it, then coil; so today I took that orig out, and some fresh eyes(and patience paid off, unbolted everything and bolted it back up paying close attention to contact points, and I put shock in immediately after I hooked up ball joint, then to tie rod, upper, etc. looks awesome! Although I seemed to strip both bolts that connect brake caliper bracket to drum, picking up new one Tom and finishing on passenger side, then into the 35’s. Pics to come soon
