Default 3rd generation suspension suggestion

Hi, new ram owner. 04 1500 5.7 hemi.
I know it's a truck, I know the ride is a bit rough. One front shock has/had a leak, covered in grime. Im looking to replace. I've done some research. I don't need heavy duty. Occasional trailer. Used mostly on road, and carrying tools with light weight construction.
if I could do a "quality of ride" range between 1 and 10, with 5 being oem, im looking for 6 or 7. Nothing exceptional but slightly better. What would be suggested?
Thanks.
Justin

I had bilstiens on my 04 1500 QC 4x4. Not cheap, I put about 80k on them before I sold that truck - no problems. On the 2500s, I've been using monroe gas magnums. Seem to work well, pretty economical too.
