I wanna put an 05 bug deflector on my 06 ram but I know they aren’t completely compatible. Anyone know if a modification can be made to get it to fit?
update for the zero people who will ever do this: it’s doable, mounted it with slight modifications
I have the learned the hard way that my rams bug and rock deflection shield is welded in four spots on the front of my hood.
Yesterday I thought someone stole it at Sam's Club and the manager pulled up video footage of me pulling in the lot and it was gone already. I left the house with one and came home without it.
The only thing left is four silver spot weld marks. It is clear that they became weakened and I did not I did see it leave the truck on the highway.
I don't know if there is an OEM that fastens like that. I actually put out a reward post on all the local FB sales pages if anyone found it.
generally speaking they are not the same shape, mopar bug deflectors can be had on ebay for less than 100 bucks, just buy one for the 06 grill?
I might have one, i cant remember, but my 4th gen styled grill didn't have provisions for the bug deflector, so i just never put it on
I was quite found of the look of this one. I will keep yours in mind if i strike out. Then I have to repair the weld spots.
I am only a couple days into the search. I tripped over the his 2022 thread.and felt the pain.
If I had not been so distracted I could have retraced my dive but it was too late when I got home.

The reason i did not notice right away is because the deflector has a Ram on it. The truck has a very clean one below it.
I just did not notice right away.
From what I have found so far online, the after market ones do not have the Ram and the ones I saw put their own logos off to the side.
If can't get one like mine I will pay for yours.
I always thought the must be using a not and bot to hold them down to the hood.
If I had known they were tacked on with a weld I would have given mine a little slight work out every year or so.
I do appreciate the offer though.
I have a local collision guy that does the estimates and has access to a huge OEM catalog.
I have an appointment with him on Monday.
