How many reso's for you? Keep us posted on the outcome. I'm leaning towards the 50, removing the rear reso, and doing the turn downs. Proboably in the distant future with all of lifes other expenses popping up.

anyone heard the gibson or magnflow exhaust's?

I assume any Cat-Back system is going to remove both front and rear resonators?

Thanks,

Bumped
For New guyswith exhaust questions

All that was done to my exhaust system was asection of straight 3" pipe was added to compensate for the length of the stock 55 gallon drumof a muffler that was removed and a Flowmaster 50 single in / single out installed. So no bends at all other than the original bends of the stock Dodge exhaust system which looked pretty smooth to me.

My Opinion:
As for performanceI have read the MDS Hemi needs some back pressure or you will actually loose some performance. If yourMuffler Shophas "cut away displays" of different mufflers you will see that the Flowmaster is made of thicker material. Some straight through type of mufflers may not give you enough back pressure and require extra bends to fit.

Also In-cab sound should be considered, this of course is a personal preference.
Cat back systems as far as I know do not use the two stock resonators.
No resonators = more sound

pappy, what sizing is the flowmaster on your truck? i mean, i knew to the exhaust thing, so now, in the next week, imn getting my 50 series, but i noticed that there is 3", 2.5", and 2.25"... what'd you get? im not much into performance just yet. now im starting to get into to that to! i was all about looks and the stereo system, now im adding the performance to it too!

so basically what i wanna know is:

what size exhaust do you have and what resonator did you take off again? and what other things were needed to be done to your trck for the whole project (the 50 series of course)? i.e.- take away piping, add it, the whole 9 yards please! lol. thanks dude!

Sorry bro I wrote all this all out once tonight for ya and lost connection when I tried to post it...

Our Trucks have a 3 inch diameter exhaust system. I got the Flowmaster 50 SUV Performance 53057 it is the 3 inch single in / single out / off set. I left both resonators in the system. (I am kinda liking this now)

1. Mechanic cutout the Gia-Normus stock muffler about an inch or two on each side
2. He put the Flowmaster on the tail pipe side near the rear axle.
3. He put in a piece of 3 inch diameter straight pipe to "fill the gap"between the Flowmasterand the front resonator.
4. He then weilded it all together (this is important for alot of reasons)
5. He installed a couple of metal hangers and rubber frame mounts
I payed him $159

I put in a Drop in replacement K&N air filter

The 3815 Superchips Tuner (Make sure it is updated to v1.08 before you plug it into your truck. v1.08 is when it began to support the 2007s) They are up to v1.09 at the moment
My SC 3815 settings
Performance 91 (Using Cheveron Supreme)
Increased Speed Limiter to 140 MPH
Increased the RPM Limiter to 6100 RPM
Set Shift 1-2 to 6000 RPM It will scratch a second Wide Open Throttle (WOT)
Set Shift 2-3 to 5950 RPM
