2006 Ram SLT Hemi Exhaust
Here's a clip of my '06 while driving around, you can hear the MDS kick in a little bit around 60 mph, sound quality might be ****ty because it was windy that day, I'm gonna try to get a better one up some time this week

Uhhh....are all you guys old???? Or maybe I'm just deaf? Anyways I bought a SI/SO flowmaster super 40 (new in box) off of ebay for $65. Took it to our local grease monkey and had him cut the exhaust right before the old muffler and install the above flow with a dump tip
(a whopping $40 install fee). The dumped tip allows it to echo off the ground a bit. I love it....had it on there for about a year now...have taken some fairly long trips (400+ miles) w/o the exhaust bothering me.

Yeah I'm and old gezer too. 49 in a few weeks.
Nice looking Truck you got their TRHemi
Since this is our only vehicle and the wife drives it more than I do, I wanted to make sure she was happy with it (and she is) before I started going crazy with modifications. (I do have a Harley that I drive as often as I can)
Performance mods are addictive!

I've seen you on TV and I'd recognice you any where, anyway I was talked in to going with the 70 series Flowmaster with 3" intake and 2 x 2/14 outlets without the rear resinator, hope it sounds half mild ,I'll let you know, thanks again, lakeozarkman
The info in this thread is great! I have an 04 QC 1500 and I want some exhaust. Will the 40 or 50 series work for my year? (This is originally an 06 thread but i've seen some posts about 07's =D)
Also, should I get true dual exhaust or will the one muffler do it for me?? (I honestly have no idea!)
Thanks!

Hi ya Freq.
My 2 cents, but be warned I have been drinking a little tonight.
My neighbor has an 04 Ram 1500 4WD/QC Hemi with a Cat Back Flowmaster 40 set up. Single in dual out,NO resonators, it is loud. Both pipes exit under the rear bumper with 3"x 15" stainless tips.
In the cab it is loud too.
I like the stock look myself, because other loud moded trucks seem to pick on StockHemi trucks. We wont mention who they are (chevy, ford, titan). I just like to give thema little suprise.
They Hate it, so We Love it!
Performance mods are addictive as hell.
My future mods will be ported heads & a cam, 180 thermostat, shift kit, and a possible torque converter.
And have the truck look stock! We called em "Sleeprs" back in the 70s
Hehe ok I'll put NDGs back in cuz it was perdy darn funny. LoL NDGs RULE!
All this stuff I have learnd here on these Forums! These guys rock, I hope I will be just as helpful one day.

Got a quick question about my 2005 hemi quad. Its got a california exhaust, looking at a copy of the shop manual, its got that muffler like thing hanging off the rear of the exhaust tucked up between the rear axle and rear bumper. Is that just a resonator???? Can I take it of safely??? I've been thinking about an aero 3030xl and would like to get a straight open pipe for the rest of the exhaust, but I don't want that check engine light to haunt me.
Hi Dhill1455
That would be your rear resonator, the other one that many people confuse as a catilytic converter is way up in front of your muffler. However if you climb on under there you will clearly see you have 2 cats, and from what I hear they are actually pretty darn good ones.
So a cat back system withthe 3030and no resonators is gonna be good and loud.
You might even need extra NDGs for that application
