problems wit the police?
Down here in this part of florida, its 15%. Mine is at 5% around the sides and the cops dont give a damn. I have gotten pulled over off base like 3 times and they havent said anything about it and once on base and either did they.
So its the luck of the draw about tint and the law.

The legal limit in Indiana is 32% all around the vehicle. You can only have 20% in the back and back side windows if it came from the factory that way. If you get 20% all around I would not worry about it. If you get 5% there is a good chance you will get nailed. In other states I have lived in, if you get pulled over you will get a ticket and be forced to remove the tint.
HEre in Arizona I have no idea what the legal limit is, I personally do not like dark tint, It obstructs my view at night, had a gs400 that I bought a few years ago, (traded it for my truck) and decided to remove the tint, it was too dark and I got a ticket because of it, not for being too dark but for not being able to see the cop at night as I took a right turn at 45 mph's right through a stop sign, (oops.) the next day had it removed and a lighter tint put on just because car was

HERE IN MISSOURI YOU CAN HAVE 35% FRONT AND ANYTHING BEHIND THE DRIVER I HAVE 15% ALL THE WAY AROUND. I HAVE HAD MY TRUCK FOR THREE YEARS AND TINTED WINDOWS FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN 4 TICKETS FOR THE TINT. THANK GOD MY AUNT WORKS FOR THE ST.LOUIS COUNTY POLICE AND GETS THEM THROWN OUT FOR ME.
im my area, its 35? i think or somethin and lets put it this way, every kid i know who went darker has gotten a ticket and repair order. cops love when they see a car with super dark windows, you just look like your up to no good, so they love to pull you over. plus honestly, id pull you over too. one you cant see out, two if im a cop i cant see what the heck your doing in there.
Here in NJ you can't have any tint on the driver or front seat passenger windows. The back windows you can have the limo tint. Policedon't like walking up on vehicles when theycan't see inside. It's a safety issue. That's part of the reason they are more inclined to pull you over for it. I personally don't bother with anyone if I can at least see the occupants in the vehicle through the tint.
here in tn its 35/15 but i had 5% wrap all the way around my truck and 35% on my windshield and it never came up. a buddy of mine had blacked out on his back and 5 on his sides and 15 on front and they made him pull all his tint off so like some have said i guess its just the luck of the draw
