problems wit the police?
i want to get my windows tinted and i want em dark...5% dark...the legal limit in Indiana is 15% i think...but honestly...how often does someone get pulled over for windows being to dark? often enough to just forget about 5?
tint limits for Indiana is 32/20 as in 32% front 20% or darker rear by looking through the window you should be able to tell if the person is male or female but as you say who has the time to hassle you for tint issues as i always say it was like this when i bought it lol
That 32/20 may be the official limit, but they probably have an enforcement tolerance. It's the same here in South Dakota, with a 9% enforcement tolerance, which puts it at 23/11.
man you guys are lucky, in iowa it's 50% front and anything you want in the back as long as you can see out of it from inside the cab....i use to have my old trucks front windows tinted 5% and i got 5 tickets for it in 2 years at $34.50 each...it's nice cause i didnt like people looking in my truck, but it really wasnt worth it now that i look at it
Its 50% for the front 2 in MN also. I had 20% on my old truck and never had a problem with it. Up here as long as your not doing anything stupid they really dont bother you about the tint. But if your acting stupid and being an *** to the cop they will add the tint on there same with exhaust.

well, you only get pulled at night usually for "tint." happened to my friend. during the day, fine. during night... we got pulled because of his "tint" being too dark. they saw us leaving a bar area here in San Diego (we were too young at the time, i still am, he isnt) and pulled us over and said they smelt alcohol so they gave him the breathalizer and then said, yeah, we pulled you over for tint... wow!!!
The police need just cause to pull you over, such as a lightbulb out on your license plate... basically any little excuse. Tint is just another one they can use. It reallydoesn't matter, you draw attention to yourself for one reasonor another, they will do they will come up with something.
In Michigan its 35% for anything behind the driver. The driver and passenger doors can only have a 4" strip across the top just like a windshield, unless you posses the magical doctors note that says you can have any tint you want. In my opinion it depends on the area you are in that will decide if you get stopped.
