The stock option unit is great. Excellent quality/brightness. It's a 7"er with aux rca inputs (think ipod video ) and a single dvd slot, remote control. Also has wireless headphones and can even control the radio/cd player from the back seat in the even someone else wants to listen to something else. The headphones are the full earmuff style stereo headphones and block out the sound of the stereo very well if someone happens to be watching a movie. Obviously you can also set the truck stereo to play the dvd over the cab speakers as well if you choose to.

Very nice with lots of features. I love it.

I really wanted to get one of those for my truck but the dealer didn't have any nor did they know of any available aside from getting them built into a custom vehicle. The other reason is I have several portable DVD players that work just as well except being mounted and the "cordless" headphones.

I've got a portable too, it's just a convenience to have it built into the truck. Got a hell of a deal on the truck and it was in it so I'm not complaining. I can't say I would spend the money to install one if it hadn't come with it but that's just personal preference. My buddies sure loved it on that long trip from Sac to Pismo though ...
