here in VA, 30 miles south of DC, I just paid 2.71 at Wawa for 89 octane. I was at 1/4 tank and it cost $60 to fill up. At least that will last me all week.

the pump cut off thing happened to me one time also. Is there a cut-off nowadays? If so, how do the RV guys fill up when they have 200 gallon tanks???

on myspace and yahoo email ive recievedthis message asking everyone to not pump gas on may 15th, im not going to hell its just one day its not like i have to pump gas everyday.

In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all myspace members are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the myspace network, and the average car takes about 30 to 40 dollars to fill up.

If all myspace members did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,200,000,000.00 (that's BILLION) out of the oil companys pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldnt) repost this

These gas prices are out of control, someone (You & I) need to stop the oil companys from robbing us so don't buy gas on May 15th!!!
I say again my space needs to keep to something they are good at...

Thats what I meant by rationing. They only let you put some gas, then if you want more, you have to do the whole thing again. Put your card in, select the grade and pump. I can only put $35 worth at a time in some stations.

Last night after coming out of Kmart, a Subaru or Kia parked infront of my big 2500Hd. It was nose to nose with my truck. Both my wife and I noticed that his roof line was about mid grill level of my rig. We both came to the obviouse conclusion that if we hit at speed, the poor SOB would'nt stand a chance and our truck would have gone over the car easily. That is what makes up for the poor MPG to us. The law of physics and how it plays in safety.
You may want to look at those cars a little closer. They look just like ramps to me when I drive my truck around. I would not want to hit one of them head-on at any speed. It would be a movie style crash where the car rolls the truck over then starts a tumble.

These trucks are not tanks. I have seen too many of them with the top so flat you could hardly tell where the cab was. I would not want to be in this big "Safe" truck when that happens.

Nothing that weighs 4 tons fully loaded at 45-75mph is safe. (6800lbs + fuel "200lbs"+ 1-5 Passengers "100-1000lbs" and maybe a loaded bed with stuff?)

Are they safe in a parking lot doing 10mph? Sure.

I just signed up for a Citgo gas card. It gives me 8% back the first 60 days then 4% after that. Might as well get something out of them
