Good Lord!!!!!
This is getting old, Gas is expensive, but you pay more for a lt of drinking water, a six pack, dish washer soap, laundry detergant and all by products of petrolium, paint, thinners, motor oil, ect.
I drive the biggest gas hog going, but with care and attention my 2500 5.7 4x4 can pull respectable mileage, I can drive a long time for the cost of of a enco box over and above my expenses for my 06 Ram.
Ford, chevy and dodge are dam close in EPA rattings and if you chose to drive a truck to look cool, be cool, or as a working identity, your going to pay.
I have cut back on eating out, gave up buying coffiee at Tim Hortons ( how manny people sit in the drive threw because they don't want to walk inside for thier donuts ) so I can save for flue.
It's not the price of the flue but the tax's added to the flue that flue government ...
gas prices are one of the reasons my truck has under 7k miles in the 10 months I've owned it. The good old scooter gets me to campus when it's warm enough, and gets 7-8x the fuel economy. Once the truck is paid off I may start looking into getting a car for better fuel mileage when gas is too spendy to drive the truck. Although the car would probably end up being a turbocharged subaru, and get 20 mpg anyway
When I was working for a car dealer I got to drive an sti to pick up some stuff from the store. The takeoff acceleration in that thing was like riding a rollercoaster, absolutely amazing.
In all honesty I don't see the sense of complaining about gas. I mean not trying to be mean but you bought a truck that you knew at the time of purchase was a gas hog. You knew it yet you still bought it. You also new about the economy and that gas prices were on the rise. So ugh I don't see the point in complaining. and I'd rather eat the price of gas and have a truck with a big v8 then some lil honda rice burner piece of junk.

less then a year ago it cost me 48 bucks to fill up my truck now its 75 bucks so yeah there is a reason to complain, all this extra money of mine and everyone else is just going to some rich punk that already has to much money? if thats ok with you then whatever but any normal person would be upset by this. i know ive worked very hard for the money i do have fighting for this country in the marine corps so yes i get pissed having to fork it over at the pump!!!
Last night after coming out of Kmart, a Subaru or Kia parked infront of my big 2500Hd. It was nose to nose with my truck. Both my wife and I noticed that his roof line was about mid grill level of my rig. We both came to the obviouse conclusion that if we hit at speed, the poor SOB would'nt stand a chance and our truck would have gone over the car easily. That is what makes up for the poor MPG to us. The law of physics and how it plays in safety.
I've always enjoyed seeing stuff like that. I really like it when some rear ends someone and they end up with the front car's rear wheels in their windshield. For the record, I will rubberneck at that type of accident.
