saw a sign no more diesel after 2007?
i was filling up yesterday and a sign on the pump said that what ever federal agency does not allow vehicles produced in or after 2007 to use diesel.
however arent they making plenty of diesel trucks?

Yeah... they aren't going to produce any more vehicles that don't run well on that "ultra low sulfur crap". There are new emission regulations that are being implimented in 2007. They are still making diesels... more of them in fact (Chrystler is making a bunch with the small diesel... like the new jeeps wranglers in 08 or 09 are going to have in them, an exciting change). At work, we are in the process of buying a new fire engine and there was a big push to close the deal in Nov last year to ensure we will have an 06 engine vs an 07... all of the emission control mods costs big dollars, and more parts to break. So, the new CTD's will be an even bigger cost option in future Rams.
ya after 2007 every diesel produced has to run on ULSD, (ultra low sulfur diesel) this is gonna raise the price of diesels through the roof and supposed to be not as powerfull as a regular diesel truck
Yeah... I can attest that we have seen a differance in both performance, and the maintance, of our apperatus after the town garage changed to that ULSD... We have had some issues with the engines themselves.
Most manufactures are gonna go to diesel, its better for the atmosphere, like they do in europe, almost all there vehicles are diesel over there
