Hi again guys,

I need to pull out my old headlight switch and replace it with the factory control unit which has the headlamps and fogs intergrated. Can anyone offer any tips on pulling the dash apart for this upgrade?

Do you have the service manual? If not go to http://www.hemitruckclub.com and download it. The FSM is usually pretty good about describing the procedure.

 

That's a pretty big file.... I was hoping for a link so I wouldn't need to waste so much space.....

I've had my whole dash apart but never had the switch out! Sorry

 

I JUST DID YOU A HUGE FAVOR!!! Haha.

I went out to my truck and tried it for you.

Heres what you do, You grab the panel (to the side of the AC vent), then you just give it a pull. It's all clipped in. But be careful to not break the clips! Once the piece is hangen there you will see three screws that hold it down. Unscrew them then unplug the wiring harness. WALA! Your switch is out!!!

Yes, you're correct, there is a big difference... I'll see if I can just figure things out on my own. I was just hoping I could get some tips before I break something....

Yea, after I posted all of that, I remembered that you had an '06!

Don't worry about breaking anything!!! That's why duct tape was made!!! Haha Just kidding!

P.S.- I don't have ANY duct tape in my truck......
